Choose your paper wisely!

What should you choose? Below we have compiled some important information regarding the Paper Stock for you to look through so you can make an informed decision!

 
 

Available stock weights

Weight

Stock weight depends on the product you are mailing. For multi-page you would want lighter stock, for cards heavier. There are ranges of heavy stock which depend on how fancy or durable you want the product to be. Next important factor is gloss or matte finish of the paper.

It’s a lot (we know). If none of this makes sense, just ask us for a recommendation.

 
 
 

Gloss: This paper will have reflective surface, which works best for photograph heavy print work.

Matte: As simple as the word itself, the paper will not be reflective, simply smooth.

 
 
 

Cover One Side (C1S)

10 pt. C1S: Least sturdy, but cost friendly. A slight glossy coating on the front side. Matte finish on the back.

12 pt. C1S: Medium sturdiness with a slight glossy coating on the front side. Matte finish on the back.

14 pt. C1S: Most Sturdy stock with a slight glossy coating on the front side. Matte finish on the back.

Cover Two Side (C2S)

80# Gloss Text: Glossy coated stock is slightly thinner compared to 100# stock.

100# Gloss Text: Glossy coated stock that is sure to stand out. Slightly thick.

14 pt. C2S: Same as 14pt C1s only this stock includes a slightly glossy finish on both sides.

 
 
 

Single line color.

Two color lines.

Thickness

A business card can stand out in many ways. Adding extra thickness can be that special detail. You can simply add the extra thickness, a pop of color, or go crazy with two colors (one or two lines).

Text vs. Cover

Cover paper is used for products that are mailed and expected to go through rough conditions. Of course it is often used as the cover for books. Text paper is best for letters and multi-page brochures.
